This award can be used to get input from a group of leaders in selecting the winners of the awards. This group of leaders can be referred to as a jury panel which will be responsible for shortlisting the most deserving candidates for the award.
P.S: This feature is available on demand. Please reach out to support@empuls.io if you wish to use this feature.
The nominator can nominate his colleagues, direct reports, or himself (based on the award rules defined by admin) for the award by stating why the nominated user('s) deserve this award. The nominator can be asked to mention his justification either as a free text or by answering specific questions that the admin has mandated for accepting nominations. Here is a preview of the page where the user is asked to answer specific questions to submit his nomination.
The first-level reviewer is responsible for filtering the nominations such that duplicate, subpar submissions are eliminated in this step and only the most deserving nominations are shared with the jury panel for review
The first-level reviewer can approve the nominations to forward them to the next level of review or decline it to stop that nomination at this step.
A jury panel is a group of users who have been entrusted with the responsibility of shortlisting the most deserving nominations for this award.
In this step, each jury panel member is asked to share his opinion by rating the nominations on a 10-point scale. The jury member will be able to read the justification provided by the nominator to arrive at his decision. (See the preview below)
Each jury member can rate all the nominations in a similar way to convey their opinion to the moderator.
Note: A jury member will not be shown the rating provided by other members to prevent bias.
The moderator is responsible for approving the nominations based on the opinion shared by all the members of the jury panel. The moderator can approve one or more nominations based on the budget available for the award.
The moderator can start seeing the nominations once the first-level approver approves them. The moderator will start seeing the ratings for all the nominations as and when the members of the jury panel start rating the nominations (See Image Preview)
The moderator can now shortlist the top 1 or more nominations for approval and approve them individually to announce the winners. The budget points are deducted from the moderator account and credited to the winner's account as rewards.
The moderator can then decline all other nominations which did not form the shortlist by using the decline all option.
It is recommended that organizations limit the usage of jury-based awards only in situations mentioned below
The award is given to the top 1% of the organization in a year
The decision of selection of winners is assigned to a group of senior employees like CXO's, BU Heads, etc
The award is issued once a year or half-year
Q1: Can the first level of approver be skipped?
Ans: Yes, the first level of approver can be skipped. This needs to be defined during the award setup. It's however not recommended as jury members might be exposed to nominations that are erroneous or just do not fit the criteria.
