An award is an entity for recognition that carries an award badge with the option of monetary value and a certificate attached to it. You can give an award to anyone in the organization - team members, managers, and peers - as a way to recognize their work or attitude (conditioned to the restrictions defined by the super admin).
Empuls supports different configurations of awards, the major configuration includes the process followed for issuing the awards. These can be classified as Spot Awards and Approval-based awards.
Other configurations include
Option to give this award to an individual, team, or both
Option to give the award givers the to decide the monetary value for the recognition or keeping it fixed
Option to attach a certificate
Spot Award Spot awards are great for in-the-moment recognition. Use this option when award givers are eligible to give away awards directly, without needing approvals.

Use approval-based awards when nominations need to go through an approval process. The 2 variations available for approval-based awards are explained pictorially below.
Simple Approval-Based Awards
These awards allow HR's set up a workflow of review before the awards are issued. This is achieved via 4 types of persona
Nominator: A person who will identify the individual or team that deserves an award. He will be submitting this as a nomination for a given award.
Nominee: The individual or a group of employees who are nominated for an award. These users will not be informed about this process.
First Level Approver: This individual reviews the nomination to decide if the nomination deserves to be awarded. If Yes, he will be approving the nominations to take it forward
Final Level Approver: This individual will be the final authority for deciding the fate of the nominations. He will be able to approve the nominations only if he has been assigned a budget to send out the monetary awards.
Jury Approval-Based Awards
This award type is available only for the Enterprise version of Empuls. Please reach out to your account managers/CSM in case you wish to introduce these awards.

Point type can be changed from fixed to a range of points.
Fixed - The reward points will remain the same for all the recipients.
Range - The nominator must reward points in between the range specified by the admin. It is applicable for only Spot Recognition.
